Reminder: Danny Sullivan Is Only Programming SES NY 2007 & SES San Jose 2007

With speaking for SES NY 2007 now closed, I'm getting requests about speaking for SES San Jose 2007, SES Chicago 2007 and several other SES shows. SES NY & SES San Jose are the only shows I'm contracted to program in a chair capacity. Below, I'll give you some more guidance about them and general advice on speaking for other shows.

Let me start by revisiting the agreement between me and Incisive Media. News of this was posted on the SES Blog last year, where we both expressed that we were happy to have found a way to work together for a further year. Looking back at that post, I realize it wasn't as detailed as a post made on my personal blog, where I outlined exactly what I would be doing.

As a result, some people may be assuming that I'm programming SES shows in the US as I did in previous years or that I will be at shows I spoke at last year: SES London, SES Germany, SES Toronto, SES Latino. I know I'm getting email from people assuming this. So on to clarifications!

SES NY 2007

I'm conference chair of SES NY 2007. That means I'm in charge of programming the regular sessions aside from training classes, the ClickZ track and any sponsored sessions. In addition to creating session content, I'll also be speaking and moderating.

As I said, speaking for SES NY 2007 is now closed. Closed, closed, closed. I have no other spaces. If something last minute comes up, I'll post on the speaking page for that show. As I've said before, but I'll repeat again:

Please don't ask me about any other sessions, even if they look like they have no speakers. They do -- gaps are simply due to the delay between invites and posting confirmations online.

SES San Jose 2007

I'm conference cochair of SES San Jose 2007. That means I'm in jointly in charge of programming the regular sessions aside from training classes, the ClickZ track and any sponsored sessions. Chris Sherman is the other cochair. In addition to creating session content, I'll also be speaking and moderating.

It's way way way to early to be asking about SES San Jose 2007. By late April, on this very blog, information will be posted about that show. Just check back to the blog or subscribe to the feed. Sit tight until then. I promise, you're not going to miss anything.

SES Chicago 2007

Traditionally, I have been the chair of SES Chicago. That is no longer the case in 2007. I am contracted to speak and moderate at that show, so I'll be there. But the programming will be handled by a conference chair to be named.

Other SES Events

I'm not attending any other SES events this year other than the three named above. I'm not programming them, nor can I tell you who is.

I can tell you that in general, if you go to a particular show's web site, you may find a "How To Speak" link. If so, that's the best way to get started requesting an opportunity with whomever is in charge of that particular show.

Don't see a link? Then watch the SES Blog right here, where news almost certainly will be posted in the future! In fact, Nacho Hernandez recently posted speaking guidance for SES Latino 2007, which he chairs.
