Opportunities to Speak at SES Hong Kong in September

Up to 43 percent of the world's online population will reside in Asia by 2013, according to projections from Forrester Research. And China will account for 17 percent of the global online population.

In mobile, eMarketer forecasts China will have 1.3 billion subscribers and 957 million mobile Web users by 2014. The consultancy projects there will be more people accessing the Web on their cell phones in the country than the entire population of the U.S. in 2010.

These are the facts as presented by editor Adaline Lau from ClickZ's new Asia desk in Hong Kong. It's a hugely exciting and rapidly growing marketplace. But entry to this marketplace is complex and requires a very carefully defined strategy. SES Hong Kong will provide an ideal opportunity for marketers to gain greater insights into the adoption and growth of search and social in the region.

If you're on the client side, agency side or vendor and feel that you can offer practical advice and education on search and social in Asia, then here's your opportunity to speak at the industry's leading international event. SES Hong Kong takes place September 13-14 2010.

You'll find the form to submit here.

Incisive Media Wins Award for Best Use of Social Media at the First Conference Awards 2010

Incisive Media also Wins Award for Best Marketing Team at the Conference Awards 2010

New York, NY -- June 29, 2010 -- Incisive Media, one of the world's leading B2B information providers, today won two prestigious awards at the first Conference Awards 2010.  Incisive Media's SES team won the Best Use of Social Media award and the company's Event Marketing Team won the Best Marketing Team award.

Tim Weller, Group Chief Executive of Incisive Media, said, "I am delighted to say that Incisive Media won the best use of social media award beating UBM, Reed Business and ACC Liverpool to this really important online accolade. This is another award given by our peers that further recognizes our strengths online. I am thrilled for Matt McGowan and the entire team at SES who are without a doubt leading the market in their innovative use of social media that has really helped bring the search and social community together."

This award is for events which have benefited significantly from the use of social media -- such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Meetup.  SES was able to demonstrate that it:

  • Improved delegate numbers attributable to use of social media
  • Attracted delegates who would not have been contacted by other traditional marketing channels
  • Improved discussion and networking opportunities before, during and after the events
  • Increased value for sponsors of the event and exhibitors
  • Got excellent feedback from delegates
McGowan, publisher and head of U.S. for Incisive Media, said, "Social media networks have enabled us to reach attendees in ways which have been difficult in the past. Credit is due to Christian Georgeou as well. He handles the majority of our social media outreach and he has been killing it! All measurements from interaction to sales via social channels have showed marked improvement since he took them over."
