Dr. Robert Rubin is FAST's Executive Vice President of Internet Services. Dr. Rubin has over twenty years of experience introducing processes and technology into organizations in a variety of vertical markets. During the last several years, he has concentrated on the delivery of information in targeted markets. Most recently Rubin was EVP of Engineering and Operations at HomePortfolio, a portal dedicated to the home design industry. Two of those years he spent at Cahners Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier, as chief technology officer, where he was responsible for the development of major portal initiatives in the travel, entertainment, electronics and manufacturing sectors. Prior to Cahners, Dr. Rubin was the vice president of engineering at the Internet start-up NetScheme, and held senior technical lead positions at Lotus and GTE Laboratories. He holds a
Ph.D. in computer science from Brown University and has taught at Columbia University and the University of Rhode Island.
