Understanding how search engines work is an essential survival skill for Internet success. The first day of Search Engine Strategies 2001 is "Promotion Day", designed to teach you the ins-and-outs of search engine marketing from top experts in the field, along with information from the search engines themselves. The second day is "Search, Techniques, Technology and Trends Day," designed for Searchers, Developers and Promoters. Searchers will learn what's being done to improve the state of search and be armed with knowledge to help become better searchers. Developers will learn the secrets, skills and the hottest tools to make a site more searchable. Promoters will explore in-depth issues and have the opportunity to make a session that may have been missed on day 1.
Day 1: Promotion Day
Features panels and sessions designed for webmasters, web marketers and even established search engine optimization specialists. You'll learn how search engines interact with your web site and ways to improve your listings. If you are new to search engine marketing, the Fundamentals Track is designed to bring you up to speed. More experienced? The Advanced Track and In-Depth Issues Sessions offers panels where issues are explored in greater depth or at a higher level. Learn more by viewing the Day 1 agenda!
Day 2: Search Techniques, Technology, and Trends Day
Features presentations designed for ordinary web searchers and professional information gatherers, ranging from how search engines are trying to improve their results to searching tips. Two different "Searcher" tracks are being offered during the day, allowing attendees to pick what most interests them from a variety of topics. Search Issues Track focuses mainly on "under the hood" issues, about how major search engines operate behind the scenes to present results. Search Tools and Tips Track features the "how to" techniques to help you search better day-to-day. The Web Site Promotion Track allows web site owners and marketers an opportunity to get more in-depth on day 1's issues and catch repeat presentations of roundtable sessions they may have missed on Day 1. The Web Developers Track covers topics such as adding vertical search to your site and making your site searchable by visitors. Learn more by viewing the Day 2 agenda!
Attend
the day most suited to your needs -- or get a discount for coming to both!
One day might be all you need. However, you can come to both days for a
discounted rate. Why choose both?If you are a marketer/promoter/search engine optimization specialist,
attending both days gives you the opportunity to take in more key
promotion-oriented sessions than can be attended if you only come to Day 1.
If you are a searcher, attending the promotion-oriented sessions on Day 1
may give you a better mastery of the search tools you use, by helping you
understand how they interact with web sites.
