Doug Meeker
Vice President, AOL Search & Directional Media
America Online, Inc.
Doug Meeker joined America Online in 1996 and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in technology and Internet-related businesses. He is a Vice President of AOL's Search and Directional Media group and is responsible for expanding AOL's Local Search and AOL Yellow Pages efforts with new partnerships and advertising opportunities, including the launch of AOL's new Pay-Per-Call advertising platform. During his tenure at America Online, Meeker has served in a number of leadership roles in sales management, business development and operations with a primary focus on AOL's local initiatives, including Digital City (now AOL CityGuide).
Prior to joining AOL, Meeker worked in product marketing and general management for the publishing and technology industries. At Picture Network, Meeker helped launch one of the first e-commerce sites for stock photography serving the advertising and publishing community. Prior to that, Meeker was with Best Software where he played a key role in launching the company from a small start-up to IPO.
Meeker received his B.A. from Purdue University.
