Jonathan Leblang
Vice President of Product Development

Jonathan Leblang is vice president of product development and treasurer of A9.com, Amazon.com's search subsidiary. In this role, Leblang heads the team responsible for all customer-facing aspects of the A9.com Web site, including the user interface and A9 Toolbar. He is also responsible for legal, administrative and system engineering support services.
Prior to joining A9.com, Leblang worked as vice president of Web services for Alexa Internet where he oversaw the building and design of the Internet Archive's Television Archive and the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Before Alexa Internet, Leblang held several positions at Amazon.com, including director, payment systems; senior program manager, books; and program manager, cross-site initiatives. While at Amazon.com, he launched many of the company's most successful products, driving sales and operational efficiency while increasing conversion and customer satisfaction. Leblang also contributed ideas that lead to seven patent applications. He began his career at The MITRE Corporation where he worked for more than 10 years in posts including principle engineer and consultant, IRS R&D; Center and general manager, state criminal justice systems.
Leblang earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and his master's degree in engineering from Virginia Tech. He has also completed Ph.D. coursework in information technology at George Mason University.
