Brendan Benzing
Executive Director, AOL Search & Directional Media Group
America Online, Inc.
Brendan joined America Online in 1999, bringing with him a broad range of experience in sales, marketing and the development of "new media" interactive products. As Executive Director in AOL's Search and Directional Media Group, Brendan develops strategies for pay-for-performance advertising for the company's local Yellow Pages, content targeting, and AOL Search businesses. A true believer in the power of the "local Web" and its ability to bridge consumers and local businesses, Brendan is passionate about the still unrealized potential of localized consumer services on the Internet.
Prior to joining AOL, Brendan worked in various sales and marketing roles within the Bell Atlantic Corporation (now part of Verizon), including Bell Atlantic Electronic Publishing and Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions. After graduating from Drexel University in Philadelphia, he began his career in Yellow Pages advertising with CDSC, a joint venture between Bell Atlantic and GTE.
