Speaker Profile
David spent many years in 'traditional' big business directory companies before migrating to the new wave of social media and user-generated websites which led directly to his involvement in Brownbook.net.
At the start of the commercial Internet in 1995 his company was building large scale bespoke e-commerce solutions for UK blue chip clients like Tesco and Volkswagen. He led the development and launch of a mass market e-commerce solution for SMEs at the directory company Freepages/Scoot, and went on to lead product management for an international e-procurement company during the early 00's.
In 2005 he joined a social networking, file sharing, and user generated content start up to head up product strategy and saw that grow from 3 people to a team of over 30 on both sides of the Atlantic.
Brownbook.net is his latest project; since launch its enjoyed consistent rapid growth worldwide.
