Detlev Johnson leads the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) team at MMG/Outrider which optimizes client visibility on both the major search engines and directories. The SEO department under Detlev has placed over 2,000 pages at the top of search results for valuable keywords and while advancing state-of-the-art Search Engine Optimization methods.

Detlev is the Moderator of I-Search Digest, a free twice-weekly email discussion list. Started in February of 1998, over 7,000 subscribers discuss search engine optimization and directory enhancement techniques. Detailed discussions frequently cover spiders, directories, the newly popular pay-per-click search engines, international search engines, and industry-specific (or specialized) search engines and directories.

MMG has been marketing websites since 1994. A majority of MMG was recently acquired by Outrider an offshoot of Tempus Group, the 2nd largest independent media buying agency in the world.
