Fabio Selmoni, Director of European Sales and Operations As Google's director of European Sales and Operations, Fabio oversees the company's European market businesses and expansion. In this role, Fabio launched Google sales offices in London, Paris and Hamburg. In addition to establishing Google's offices in Europe, Fabio spearheaded Google's entry into multiple European markets and collaborated to develop the capabilities and infrastructure to support advertising sales internationally. Fabio also contributed to Google web search partnerships with a number of notable European portals and websites, including Nomade, Free.fr, Web.de, Stern and BBC.
Prior to joining Google, Fabio was the director of international business development for ShopNow.com. While at ShopNow, Fabio negotiated licensing agreements in Europe and Asia, raised international funding and contributed to corporate acquisitions and international joint ventures. Additionally, he drove the establishment of a UK sales office. Before ShopNow, Fabio was a management consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, where his clients included financial industry companies. Prior to his work as a consultant, Fabio worked as an investment banker at UBS Warburg in the mergers and acquisition group.
Fabio speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish and German fluently and holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Fabio also graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley.
