Tim Mayer, vice president of FAST's Web Search Business Unit, is responsible for the product direction of FAST Web Search as well as developing and managing relationships with web portals and business partners. Previously, as director of Product Management & Marketing at Inktomi Corporation, Mayer was responsible for the product direction of the Inktomi Web search engine. Prior to Inktomi, Mayer worked at Thomson & Thomson as the project manager of the SAEGIS and NameStake platforms. Mayer received an MBA from Babson College, Wellesley, Mass., and a BA in English Literature from Hobart College, Geneva, New York.
