Kenneth Norton
Director, Product Management
Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo!, Inc.
As director of product management for Yahoo! Shopping, Kenneth Norton is responsible for driving strategic product initiatives as well as overseeing ongoing product development. He joined Yahoo! Shopping in March 2003 and led his product team of more than 20, through the most dramatic and most successful redesign since its launch in 1998.
Prior to its acquisition by Yahoo!, Kenneth was the director of product strategy at Inktomi, where he was responsible for strategic planning and product direction. Prior to Inktomi, Kenneth had an extremely rich entrepreneurial background in Web-based services and products. He was one of the co-founders of Grand Central Communications, a leading Web services network and an innovator in enterprise application integration. He also served as the chief technology officer at NBC Internet and its predecessor, Snap, one of the first Internet portals. Ken was a member of Snap's founding team at CNET Networks where he served as director of software engineering. He received a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
