Leslie Marable is senior analyst for Nielsen//NetRatings, covering eCommerce, travel, financial services and search.
Prior to joining NetRatings, Inc., Ms. Marable was research project manager for ConsumerWebWatch.org, a three-year grant-funded Web credibility project of Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports. While there, Leslie authored major research reports, including "False Oracles: Consumer Reaction to Learning the Truth about How Search Engines Work. Results of an Ethnographic Study."
Previously, she was research editor at media-business start-up Inside.com, where she coordinated research and related business development efforts for the company's offline and online properties. Her journalism career spans magazines, broadcast and online media, including six years at the Time Warner consumer magazines Entertainment Weekly and Money. She has also held data analysis and market research positions with companies, including Xerox Corporation and surveying organization Woelfel Research.
Ms. Marable earned a M.A. in journalism from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a B.A. degree in psychology-sociology from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn.
