Sean Suchter has nearly ten years experience in Web search and currently runs the Yahoo! Search Technologies team, where he is responsible for both engineering and product management of the algorithmic side of Yahoo! Web search. Sean came to Yahoo! in March of 2003, during the company's acquisition of Inktomi, where he had been leading the search engine team. Sean started at Inktomi in 1998 as an engineer.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, where he also completed several internships in speech recognition.
