Matthew Hall is the vice president of engineering, Search and Directory Divisions, at Inktomi Corporation. Dr. Hall joined Inktomi in 1998 and is responsible for the development of search and directory services. Before Inktomi, Dr. Hall managed the audio and video groups at SGI. Prior, he was Director of Software Development at nCUBE Corporation. Dr. Hall came to United States to work at Oak Ridge National Laboratory on the atmospheric carbon dioxide greenhouse effect and has a BA from Magdalen College, Oxford and a Ph.D. from Imperial College, London.
