Seattle Welcomes New Vertical SEO Conference for Online Marketers, Travel Search Aggregators, and Social Media and Experiential Travel Sites

Seattle, WA - July 23, 2007 - SideStep.com's chief marketing officer Nancy Ramamurthi will be the featured keynote speaker at the premier Search Travel Conference on July 26-27, 2007 in Seattle, Washington. This is the first Search Engine Strategies (www.SearchEngineStrategies.com) conference designed specifically to explore the web marketing tools available for those with ties to the travel industry.

As the head of marketing for one of the top travel search aggregators, Ramamurthi has nearly two decades of senior-level marketing and management positions for leading global consumer organizations, including Yahoo!, The Coca Cola Company, Kraft General Foods and Pfizer. Nancy earned a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. As senior director of eBay's global classified business unit, she led the team in successfully scaling and monetizing a new global portfolio of business.

Attendees of this unique event will learn the basics of constructing a search friendly website, optimization tips for organic search results, and creating unique content to effectively sell a travel experience. Session topics include managing paid search campaigns, social media optimization and reputation management, and carving out a niche for specific travel services in an extremely competitive marketplace. Sessions are broken into two categories: organic focus for those who wish to do better in natural or organic listings, and sessions with an ad focus for those interested in paid ad listings.

"This highly specialized event brings together experts with a strong sense of search engine marketing in the travel industry," said Kevin Ryan, VP Global Content, Search Engine Strategies and Search Engine Watch. "We're excited to be the first to bring this focused learning experience to online marketers."

Some of the world's finest purveyors of travel services will gather at the inaugural SES Travel, including Best Western, OMNI Hotels, CHT Cruises and Tours, Discovery Cruise Line, Expedia, Hyatt, Hilton, Quebec Tourism Board, Marriott, in addition to search engine giants Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft, as well as Google Japan.

Registration is now open. Expo passes are free in advance; $25 on-site. To register or learn more about SES Travel, please visit www.searchenginestrategies.com/sew/travel07/
