Alan Chapell is President of Chapell & Associates, a strategic consulting firm that provides business and legal advice to interactive marketing companies. Chapell's team is focused on developing strategy in the following vertical ecosystems: online media, behavioral targeting, mobile marketing, interactive video, affiliate marketing and social media.
Chapell began his career at a boutique direct marketing agency in Connecticut. Starting in late 1996, and while attending law school at Fordham University, Chapell spent nearly five years at Jupiter Research. He later moved to DoubleClick, helping to productize the company's research product suite. Chapell also worked with email marketing firms Yesmail and Cheetahmail, where he helped clients with issues of privacy and deliverability. Chapell founded Chapell & Associates in 2003.
