David Roth is the Director of Search Engine Marketing for Yahoo!. He joined the company in 2006 and is responsible for guiding the SEM
strategy across all of Yahoo! properties, including overseeing SEM programs, establishing internal best practices and streamlining
Roth has seven years of SEM experience working most recently as the Director of Search Engine Marketing for Carat Fusion, a full–service
advertising agency. While at Carat, he built out the agency´s SEM group to serve top–tier clients such as Dish Network, TiVo, Kodak and
Hyundai. Previously, Roth worked with Avenue A/Razorfish, eonMedia and Inceptor. While at these organizations, he cultivated publisher
relationships and developed agency programs for pay–for–placement, SEO, paid inclusion and affiliate networks. Some of his top clients
included Best Buy, 1–800–flowers, Gateway and Danskin.
Roth holds his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UC Berkeley, and his MBA from UC San Diego.
