Tom Bedecarré has been involved in the advertising and marketing industry for over 20 years cultivating some of the world's most recognized brands, including Nike, Visa, Macy’s and Microsoft. As CEO of AKQA, Tom is responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth and management of the company. Previously, Tom served as CEO of Citron Haligman Bedecarré, the award-winning ad agency he co-founded in 1990. After receiving an MBA from Northwestern University, Tom spent several successful years managing accounts at Oglivy & Mather in New York and Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco. He recently served as Northern California Chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
In 2006 his agency has been recognized by Creativity Magazine as its first-ever Interactive Agency of the Year and as Revolution Magazine’s Agency of the Year.
