As a graduate from the University of Notre Dame (BBA) and UC Berkeley
(MBA), Peck left school with an entrepreneurial mindset headed by a
fundamentalist's passion in more successful cost per lead and cost per sale
opportunities.
With a background in database marketing and information technology, Peck
first entered the Internet business in 1994. Peck felt the Internet offered
more effective solutions to reducing cost per lead and cost per sale
expenditures than traditional media.
In pursuit of this, Green Flash launched a San Diego-only database search
engine in early 1996 only to see these dreams evaporate when that web site
failed to obtain any high rankings in the search engines.
As a problem solver first and a technologist second, Peck led Green Flash
software developers to begin building a software system to "reverse
engineer" the search engine algorithms.
Launched in the Fall of 1996, the POST system achieved a high degree of
success. Subsequent versions of the software have added several key
components to assist clients in obtaining premier positioning.
Their "POST" software system utilizes IP address filtering to optimize
pages per keyword/phrase for each search engine. Recent changes in the
nature of the search engines have found Green Flash back at the drawing
board developing POST 2 - their new solution.
Their first client, State Farm remains a client today.
