Mike Moran

Mike Moran has over 20 years experience in search technology working at IBM Research, Lotus and other IBM software units. He led the product team that developed the first commercial linguistic search engine in 1989 and has been granted four patents in search and retrieval technology.

Mike has worked on IBM's Web site for the past seven years and is currently the Distinguished Engineer and Manager of Site Architecture for ibm.com. Mike led the integration of ibm.com's search technology and also led the implementation for specialized search technology for finding and purchasing notebook computers and other products. He developed the original SEO strategy for ibm.com and manages IBM's SEO strategy team. Mike is the co-author of Search Engine Marketing, Inc. from Prentice Hall's IBM Press series.
