Kenneth Cassar is the Senior Director and Chief Analyst for Nielsen//NetRatings, overseeing a team of senior analysts that provides Nielsen//NetRatings clients with value-add measurement and analysis.
Before joining NetRatings, Inc., Cassar served as manager of strategic consulting at Modem Media where he designed market research plans for one of the world's largest IT services firms. Prior to Modem Media, Cassar provided strategic consulting services to the world's leading retailers as senior analyst at Jupiter Research. During his five years at Jupiter Research, Cassar launched Jupiter's retail service and led it to industry prominence. Cassar has also worked with Bertelsmann AG as the manager of marketing planning and analysis with the BMG Direct group and was also a senior financial analyst for Ames Department Stores.
Cassar is recognized as a leading authority regarding the Internet and appears frequently in numerous top media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, BusinessWeek, CNN, National Public Radio, and ABC World News Tonight as an industry expert. He has spoken at many industry events and has shared his insight as guest lecturer at New York University.
Cassar earned his B.A. in Political Science and M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
