O Interactive Advertising Bureau Brasil - IAB Brasil, nasceu como Associação de Mídia Interativa em 1998. Entidade sem fins lucrativos, conta hoje com cerca de 60 afiliados entre sites, portais, consultorias, empresas de tecnologia, agências e produtoras com foco em meios interativos. Profissionais de mercado (pessoas físicas) também podem associar-se.
Entende-se por meios interativos a rede mundial de computadores (Internet), e-mail, a TV Interativa, as plataformas para envio de mensagens comerciais por telefones celulares e aparelhos de mão portáteis ("PDAS"), bem como os novos canais de comunicação que possam surgir com avanço da tecnologia e que permitam a publicação ou envio de mensagens comerciais de características semelhantes às atuais.
O IAB promove o intercâmbio - nacional e internacional - de experiências e conhecimentos técnicos através de cursos, palestras, publicações, artigos e pesquisas cujos resultados sejam de interesse comum ao mercado, visando criar melhores condições de negócios a seus associados.
A administração da Associação é exercida por uma Diretoria Executiva composta de dez profissionais do mercado eleitos para um mandato de dois anos.

IAB Brazil (formerly AMI - Interactive Media Association) was founded in 1998, represents more than thirty leading publishers, consultants, agencies and web developers in Brazil.
To increase the share of investments that Interactive media captures in the advertising marketplace IAB Brazil promotes knowledge exchange, develops studies and researches, and set standards for buying, selling, creating, publishing and tracking interactive campaigns.
Among interactive medium are E-mail, Internet, Interactive TV, PDAs, Cell Phones, and all new platforms which will come through new technologies, where you can send interactive messages for commercial purposes.
