Understanding how search engines work is an essential survival skill for Internet success. The first day of Search Engine Strategies 2001 is "Promoters Day" designed to teach you the ins-and-outs of search engine marketing from top experts in the field, along with information from the search engines themselves. The second day is "Searchers Day," designed to teach you what's being done to improve the state of search. You'll also be armed with knowledge to help you be a better searcher.

Search Engine Strategies 2001 is the unique two-day event that caters to both promoters and searchers.

Day 1: Promoters Day
Features panels and sessions designed for webmasters, web marketers and even established search engine optimization specialists. You'll learn how search engines interact with your web site and ways to improve your listings. If you are new to search engine marketing, the Main Track is designed to bring you up to speed. More experienced? The Advanced Promoters Track offers roundtable sessions where issues are explored at a higher level. A special Developers Track also covers topics such as adding vertical search to your site or making your site searchable by visitors. Learn more by viewing the Day 1 agenda!

Day 2: Searchers Day
Features presentations designed for ordinary web searchers and professional information gatherers, ranging from how search engines are trying to improve their results to searching tips. Two different "Searcher" tracks are being offered during the day, allowing attendees to pick what most interests them from a variety of topics. Searcher Track 1 focuses mainly on "under the hood" issues, about how major search engines operate behind the scenes to present results. Searcher Track 2 features panels primarily about tips and tools that can help you search better day-to-day. The Advanced Promoters Track allows web site owners and marketers an opportunity to catch repeat presentations of roundtable sessions they may have missed on Day 1. Learn more by viewing the Day 2 agenda!

Attend the day most suited to your needs -- or get a discount for coming to both!

One day might be all you need. However, if you are a marketer/promoter you might want to also attend "Searchers Day" and vice versa. Site promoters can benefit from sessions on Day 2 that discuss how search engines are improving search, while searchers may gain a better mastery of the tools they use by understanding how they interact with web sites, as presented on Day 1.
