With the Internet evolving into a network of people constantly connecting, communicating and sharing, Incisive Media’s ClickZ is launching “Connected Marketing Week” on August 16-20, 2010 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The first of its kind, Connected Marketing Week will be the biggest gathering of interactive marketing events aiming to educate marketers on every aspect of the digital industry. Participating events include SES San Francisco, Online Marketing Summit (OMS), Jeff Pulver’s 140 Characters Conference, Email Experience Council, IAB, and Tim Ash’s Conversion Conference.

Mayor Gavin Newsom welcomed the innovative festival, wishing it “all the best for a productive and rewarding event. San Francisco is more than a place, it’s an idea - an idea that innovation is essential for a better world.”

Connected Marketing Week will feature five days with specific themes focusing on the subjects of social media, international marketing, search marketing, blogging and email marketing. Each day of the festival will consist of educational events, insightful panels and networking events based on the specific theme of the day.

ClickZ also announced the Connected Marketing Awards today. These awards recognize brands and organization that have embraced innovation and creative to connect with their audience and drive results. Deadline for entries is 5 p.m. EDT, June 22, 2010 and winners will be announced on August 16 at Connected Marketing Week in San Francisco.

Because marketing today requires an advanced understanding of how consumers and audiences are connecting, sharing their passions and influencing others, the program for Connected Marketing Week contains presentations and panels focused on the basics, such as pay-per-click (PPC) and search engine optimization (SEO), and newly designed sessions exploring the search and social media convergence. Over 100 companies will be exhibiting their latest products, services and technologies.
