Prior to co-founding hlm, George was Executive Creative Director at Publicis (OTC: PGPEF) Dialog, formerly Arc Worldwide/Semaphore Partners/Novo Interactive, a pioneer in the development of commercial Web applications for such well-known brands as General Motors, Toyota, LeapFrog, Continental Airlines, Procter & Gamble, General Mills, E*TRADE, Estee Lauder, and Levi Strauss & Co. among others. There he grew the firm's Creative Practice and managed select teams as well as departments in offices across the country. George helped win and directed creative development for one of the largest contracts in the interactive services industry: to architect, build and launch Orbitz, the online travel site backed by five major US airlines.
George's work and the work of his teams has been published in BusinessWeek, Communication Arts Interactive Design Annual, Applied Arts Annual, HOW Interactive Design Annual, and has won the New York Art Directors Club New Media Merit Award, the Cannes Cyber Lion (Silver x2), the London International Advertising Award (Gold, Silver), and a Webby.
