Farhan is the Product Manager for Live Search at Microsoft Canada, where he oversees the core consumer search offering for MSN. He recently completed his MBA at the Rotman School of Management, and prior to that, he graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. He is an active blogger, participating in muliple online initiatives that help educate the online community about new trends in web 2.0 technologies. Before Microsoft, Farhan was infatuated with solution design at Celestica Inc. as a software architect. And just out of school in the late 90's, Farhan moved south to Austin, Texas to work with Trilogy Software, noted for its all-star teams and its extreme management philosophies. He juggled various roles there from technical pre-sales and consulting, to leading a development team at an infamous dot-com company.
