Stephen Taylor
Regional Vice President & Managing Director,
Search and Search Marketing, Yahoo! Europe

As Regional Vice President and Managing Director Stephen oversees strategy, commercial responsiblity, content and product innovation for Search and Search Marketing for Yahoo! Europe.

In line with his focus on product innovation is Yahoo!’s vision of social search. Based on collective sharing being the future of online, Stephen is committed to developing innovative products that let Internet users in create and share their own content. Yahoo! innovations currently turning this vision into reality include Flickr and Yahoo! Answers.

In April 2003 Stephen Taylor joined Overture, the world’s pioneer of sponsored search marketing, as Commercial Director. Whilst in this role, Overture evolved from a single to a multi-product organisation, expanded from three to 13 European offices and was acquired by Yahoo!.

In April 2005, Stephen was reappointed as Regional Vice President & Managing Director of Overture Europe. In this role he became responsible for determining Overture’s Search Marketing strategy for Europe, overseeing all European operations and the rollout of product innovations across all European markets. He also oversaw Overture’s re-brand to Yahoo! Search Marketing in February 2006.

A classical marketer by training, Stephen has held senior marketing roles at Air Miles and Safeway. During his previous six years before joining Overture, he had been involved in a number of Internet businesses. Most recently, Stephen was founder and CEO of Securicor eSolutions, a developer of secure shopping portal services. He was also a former Managing Director of First Call International, a telephone and Internet travel and leisure business.

Stephen reports to Dominique Vidal, Regional Vice President and Managing Director, Yahoo! Europe.
