Shuman Ghosemajumder is the Business Product Manager for Trust & Safety at Google. In this role he manages the product strategy for initiatives to protect Google’s advertisers, partners, and users. He joined Google in 2003, and was one of the early product managers for AdSense, helping grow that business to $2B in annual revenue. He is the recipient of two Google Founders’ Awards for extraordinary entrepreneurial achievement.
Prior to Google, Shuman held strategy consulting positions with IBM and McKinsey & Co., advising Fortune 100 corporations on media, technology, and new ventures. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Anadas, an Internet software firm. He began his career as a software engineer at Groupware Corporation, where he created the first collaborative graphic design application.
Shuman is the co-author of CGI Programming Unleashed (Macmillan, 1997), has guest lectured at numerous business schools, and hosted a television special on the social impact of the Internet. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, where he was a President's Scholar and received the Canada Merit Scholarship Foundation award, given to the top 15 students in Canada
