Michael Murray, vice president, Fathom SEO: Established a division of Fathom IT (a Web services firm founded in 1986 as a marketing communication company). Fathom SEO today is a separate company in the same office. Our staff manages over 60 SEO and PPC accounts, including Eaton Corp., FedEx Custom Critical, Bissell, Little Tikes, Sauder, and The Cleveland Clinic.
A graduate of Kent State University and a journalist by trade, I've been in the SEO field since 1997. Currently, I manage the growth of Fathom SEO, a member of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization and a part of the new MarketingSherpa Buyer's Guide to Search Engine Optimization Firms. I attended SES in Toronto and New York and plan to attend SES in Chicago this year and New York in 2006. I've presented at complimentary workshops we sponsored at Microsoft offices in Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit. In addition, I've authored SEO guides, white papers (including Search Engine Marketing: Get in the Game) and led SEO research projects (i.e. how 350 health care and 350 manufacturers use SEO).
